Rudolf Bayer (28 April 1914 – 26 August 1944) was a highly decorated Unteroffizier in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gustav Bergmann was listed as missing in action near Tartu, Estonia on 26 August 1944.
